2024 in Review

As our COO, one of my favorite jobs at Point b(e) Strategies is to examine our work. At the end of every year, I compile a presentation for my colleagues of all the brilliant work that we have accomplished over the past 12 months with our wonderful clients. This year, I decided to put the report together a little early so that I could share it with our clients, friends, and supporters before the year officially closes.
This year, Point b(e) Strategies was lucky enough to work with 58 separate agents of social change. These collectives, institutes of higher education, cities, nonprofits, and foundations all chose us as their partner, and we are beyond grateful.
Together with these amazing organizations, our team worked on 89 separate initiatives across our eight service areas (in addition to a few projects that were outside of our usual areas of work).
These initiatives included 15 Strategic Plans that resulted in the rewriting of mission statements, the transformation of organizations, the development of action plans, and the creation of 3–5 year road maps for the future. Our small but mighty evaluation team worked on 21 different projects that ranged from evaluating individual programs to illustrating the impact of entire organizations. Additionally, we completed 10 facilitations with board and staff members of organizations that work across the social change sector, including those working for reproductive justice, refugee resettlement, improved city governments, affordable housing, and youth development. Our team raised more than $12.9 million dollars for 20 organizations through their strategic grantwriting. We completed two change management projects that aimed to support organizations as they restructured for the future. We also offered two sets of trainings related to board development work, and we completed five Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives. Finally, we completed 15 projects outside of our usual service areas (our Ice Ice Baby work) including Project Management, Coaching, Program Development, and Community Listening Sessions, among others.
